Chalk.
A gym tracker that scores you on showing up, not on how much you lift. Log your sets, earn points, and climb a ten-tier ladder every week.
Every gym app rewards the heaviest lift. That works for people who are already consistent, and does nothing for everyone who isn't. Chalk scores the one thing that actually builds strength: showing up.
Ten points for a session, up to five more for finishing what you planned, capped at six sessions a week, so a routine beats a binge. Every Monday the week closes and you climb or slide on a ladder from Iron to Chalk. Nothing that affects your rank is for sale.
Nine days to a submittable build
- 01
Design the score
The hard part wasn't the logger, it was a number that can't be gamed. A session only scores if the timer ran in the app and you marked the sets as you went.
Sep 2026 - 02
Build the logger
One tap to finish a set, last time's numbers on every row, and a rest timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, because your phone is face down on a bench.
- 03
Open a waitlist
While the app was being built, websab.nl/chalk collected sign-ups, and every step was shared in public.
- 04
Ship, then keep going
A submittable build nine days after the first commit. Version 1.1 added training blocks built around the equipment you actually own, and a keypad made for weights and reps.
